Scientific robbery of Asit R. Sarkar, Dept. of Chemistry, University of Kalyani.

Asit R. Sarkar Published a paper on Journal of Indian Chemical Society (J. Indian Chem. Soc., Vol. 85, February 2008, pp. 167-170 Oxovanadium(IV) complexes of Schiff base derived aminopropanol and derivatives of salicylaldehyde Asit R. Sar kar* and Aniruddha Chakraborty) in which they synthesize and charatarized Oxovanadium(IV) complexes of Schiff base derived aminopropanol and derivatives of salicylaldehyde, but the synthesis and characterization of these compounds already published by Kuge et al (Y.Kuge & S.Yamada, Bull.Chem.Soc.,Japan,1971,43,3972) and Syamal et al (Theorit.Inorg.Chem,1973,12,245).
Prof Syamal wrote to the JICS editor against Prof A.R.Sarkar in the next issue of JICS as letter to editor(J.Indian Chem.Soc, Vol 85, Nov-08,pp.1174-1176), and as a reply, Prof Sarkar was unable to produce any document.
Shame to Asit R. Sarkar for this Scientific dishonesty
