Applications are invited for two posts of Technical Assistants on temporary basis in the Library.
Name of the Position: Technical Assistants
Qualification: Candidate should have Masters Degree in Library and Information Science (MLISc) with minimum higher second class from a recognized University.
Desirable: Knowledge of using any library software will have an added advantage.
Age limit: Up to 30 years as on the last date of submission of application
Mode of Selection: The final selection will be based on the performance of the candidates in the written test and personal interview.
Salary: The selected candidate will be paid consolidated salary of Rs. 7000/- per month. Tenure: Six months from the date of joining and may be extended up to one year depending upon the performance.
Walk-in Interview Date: Friday, July 18, 2008 at Library, ISEC and candidates are requested to report by 10.00 a.m.
Candidates fulfilling above qualifications may walk-in for an interview on 18 July 2008 at Library, ISEC along with detailed bio-data, original certificates with one set of photocopies relating to educational qualification and testimonials.
The candidate appointed will have an opportunity to work in a computerized library environment with hands-on-experience in all sections of library and will get an exposure to modern techniques of maintaining a library.
ISEC has a well-equipped library with more than 1,20,000 titles and more than 300 Indian and International periodicals and databases (print & online) being subscribed. It also has an impressive collection of pamphlets and documents from foreign and Indian organisations. It is recongnised by the World Bank as a depository library. The library is computerized using LibSys.
