RECRUITMENT OF EXPERIENCED PERSONNEL(Advertisement
No:HRD/RECTT/ADVT/2007-08/6)

Library (Manager- Library)
Master Degree in Physical Science preferably in Chemistry with an additional
qualification of Bachelor/Master Degree in Library & Information Science or
its
equivalent such as Associateship in Documentation & Information Science
(recognized
by Govt. of India). He should have worked either in a technical library or a
university
library in a responsible position.

The candidate should possess managerial skills for managing a Technical
Library. He
should be well conversant with procurement, classification, indexing of
technical
publications; abstracting/ indexing of technical journals i.e documentation.
Knowledge of
Universal Decimal Classification Scheme (UDC) and modern techniques of
library organisation including information storage and retrieval with the
help of a suitable library software is desirable,
Preference will be given to those candidates who have been associated with
the
development of libraries in technical subjects and possess practical
knowledge/experience of Computer application in the Management of a modern
library
in a highly automated, integrated and networked environment.
