Thapar University inviting application for the post of Assistant Librarian
Name of Post Qualification 1 Assistant Librarian
- Master’s degree in Library Science / Information Science / Documentation Science or an equivalent professional degree with at least 55% of the marks or its equivalent grade of 55% marks where grading system is practiced and a consistently good academic record with knowledge on computerization of library. Desirable : 1. Qualifying in the National Eligibility Test (NET) or other accredited test like SLET/ SET in Library Science conducted for the purpose by the UGC or any other agency approved by the UGC.
- Ph.D. Degree (Regular) holders shall be exempted from NET/SLET/SET
- Candidates with experience in a well computerized library of Technical Institute with strength of more than 3500 students, shall be given preference
- Evidence of innovative library services, organization and computerization of library.
- Evidence of published work in indexed/ISBN/ISSN journals and / or ISBN/ISSN numbered books and University developed ISBN/ISSN numbered list of journals hosted on the website of the concerned University
