The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), a Statutory Body under the NIFT Act, 2006 is a premier Institute of Fashion Business Education with 15 Centres located at New Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad, Gandhinagar, Kolkata, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Kannur, Shillong, Patna, Rae Bareli, Kangra, Jodhpur and Bhubaneswar. The Mode of Appointment will be on contract/deputation initially for a period of 3 years. The Recruitment Rules/Eligibility norms of each post, procedure for submission of application and application fee may be seen by click on the post mentioned above.

NOTE

1- NIFT reserves the right to fill or not to fill any or all the posts advertised, no correspondence whatever will be entertained from the candidates regarding postal delay, conduct, result and reasons for not being short listed.

2-  No. of vacancies are indicative and may be increased or decreased. The no. of posts advertised is provisional and can be varied as per requirement of NIFT. All appointments shall be made on contract/deputation basis.

3- Prescribed application form along with general instructions, relevant details regarding educational qualification, experience required for various posts advertised can be downloaded from institute’s website.

4-  Incomplete applications or applications not in prescribed format and those received after due date or application forms not accompanied by the requisite application fee shall not be considered and will be rejected without assigning any reasons and no claim for refund of application fee shall be entertained, in any case.

5- Application form must be accompanied by attested copies of all educational and professional qualifications and experience certificates, Caste certificates (in case claiming benefit of reservation, fee concession and age relaxation etc.). An application, without any of these documents may be rejected during the course of screening.

6- Fulfillment of conditions of minimum qualification, experience shall not necessarily entitle any applicant to be called for further process of recruitment. Institute reserves the right to short list applicants in any manner as may be considered appropriate.  Reasons for rejection or not short listing an application will not be communicated. Preferred mode of communication is e-mail. Applicants are advised to check their e-mail and NIFT website regularly.

7-The persons already in employment in Government Departments, Autonomous Bodies, undertakings, universities under Central/State Government should apply through proper channel.

8-  Those applying for deputation, should apply through proper channel along with ACRs (last 05 years) and Vigilance/Cadre Clearance and information relating to penalties imposed on the officers during the last 05 years, if any. Appointments will be on standard deputation terms and condition as issued by DOPT, GOI from time to time. 

9-   Wrong declarations/submissions of false information or any other action contrary to law shall lead to cancellation of the candidature at any stage.

10-  Any form of canvassing will lead to disqualification of candidature.

11-  Candidates may ensure that they fulfill the qualification/experience requirements.

12-  The application, on the prescribed form, duly filled-in, accompanied by a Demand Draft (No other mode of payment will be accepted by NIFT) drawn in favour of ‘National Institute of Fashion Technology payable at New Delhi, complete in all aspects, should reach to The Registrar, NIFT Head Office, Hauz Khas, New Delhi-110016 latest by July 22, 2013. Employees of NIFT are not exempted from payment of examination fee.

  

13-  A Demand Draft/Banker’s Cheque for the requisite fee as indicated below should be drawn in favour of NIFT, payable at New Delhi.
